“This is a fresh new audience so to them this is the first time this show is happening, this must be the first time this story is being told” will be every director’s famous last words. Every show no matter how many times the production has been put on must perform each night as if it was the first night they are telling this story and experiencing it. Unfortunately the tour of Cabaret produced by A ROUNDABOUT THEATRE COMPANY PRODUCTIONS failed to succeed in this element.
