"I love this!!!! You really capture something about the characters and the time.  The formality and also the lightness of letters from a battlefield.... using details from the show, all really great.  It works particularly well for this…"

Remembered for what we've done

July 12, 1912Dear Joey,                                                                    The day my father sold you to the army was the day my world turned upside down. He promised me you were mine. Then just when I thought we would never be apart, you were gone. I heard about the tales of battle from a letter that uncle brought on Christmas morning. That day I left the farm to join the army myself. Since then I have been on an endless search to find my best friend. I have dug ditches been…See More

"I must admit that when you said after the show that your review would be a rant, I was a little worried (mostly because I loved the show), but you handled this nicely. I like the creative choice to format the review as a letter, and your…"

"Love the idea of a letter for your format!   So, why is the letter addressed to the writers of the show as opposed to the local Theatre Latte Da who were responsible for this production, since you write more about the technical and design…"

AIDA

Dear Mr. Rice & Mr. John,I would like to take a moment to talk to you about your show AIDA. I went to see this colaborattion on January 23, 2013. I happen to be a huge fan of ancient Egypt, and was looking forward to how you were going to use this amazing time in history. In saying that I do not feel that the set fully expressed the feelings being sung and or acted out. I feel that there was a lot to be desired when it came to the ste design. I found the palace in ancient Egypt could have…See More

"Is this what you were thinking in terms of creating writing?  Is it meant to be in paragraph form? I like where this is headed, it just not fully formed.  Keep writing, remember what I said in my email, you have to have a clear opinion and…"

Hallelujah!!

The magical smell of hair spary and glitter.  Feather bowas being sold.  We take our seats.  The disco starts.  Cause tonight for the first time just about half-past ten for the first time in history it's gonna start raining men.  Hallelujah it's raining men!  I used to think imprefect was beauty, but now I know that perfection is beauty. Priscilla Queen of the Desert is the greatest show on earth! The moving of men as ladies. Dress as creative as the rainbow the covers a post rain sky. Only…See More

Master of Disception Yes, Master of Nerves Not Yet

"I agree, the dancing was good.  What about the choreography?  I like the child appropriate vs. childlike moment segue! Strong description of what made Stephen Anthony's performance good. I'd like you to try a video review again…"

True As It Can Be

I went to see Disney’s Beauty & the Beast on tuesday october 15. I walked in the theater with an open mind or as open as my mind gets. I took my seat and began to think and take notes. Durning the opening number, I thought the cast blended very well together. As belle continued to sing I noticed her mic was on a lower volume than it should have been. This was fixed during the second act. As the entire cast was showcased in someway I thought the casting director had done their job to a…See More

It might be helpful to add something you didn't like about the show to have a more well-rounded review.
