Codpieces on Parade

    As Emma, the reviewer, sat down she wondered if she would like the show.  She enjoyed ABBA, but had not heard many good things said about Mamma Mia.  The musical was about a girl who lived with her Mother on a Greek Island and decided to invite the three men who might be her Father to her wedding.  A sudden flash appeared in the corner of the reviewer’s eye as she perused her program.  She quickly glanced over and sighed.  A group of old women were filing into the house of the theater…

"We danced on the beach, kissed on the beach and dot, dot, dot."

Going into Mamma Mia!, I knew literally nothing about the plot, the music, the characters, or the actors. I knew that to review it better, I would need to be completely impartial at the beginning. So knowing that, this review is one hundred percent without preconceived notions about the show.

There were a lot of really great things. The ensemble was amazing, with their dance moves and pitch perfect harmonies.…
